West Showcase

Date: October 19th & 20th, 2024

Location: Angels Stadium - home of the Los Angeles Angels

The Best in the US National Showcase - West, held October 19th & 20th, 2024, will be the experience of a lifetime for players. Players will be hand-picked who have attended a Best in the US event to participate in this two day event. Top college coaches, professional scouts, and MLB/MiLB coaches will be in attendance to work and evaluate players.

College Coaches Attending

 

Top performers from previous Best in the US events will be invited via email after their evaluation. If you are not able to attend a Best in the US event but would be interested in the national event please shoot us an email staff@bestintheusshowcases.com

College & Professional programs in attendance will be announced in September of 2023. In 2022 our two National Event had representatives from 25 MLB organizations and 45 colleges in attendance.

Preparing for the event

TYPICAL SCHEDULE, DAY 1

Day 1 typically includes physical assessments, offensive and defensive showcases and verified measurable workouts (including 60-yard dash, exit velocity, pop time), recruiting roadmap seminar, live batting practice and bullpens.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE, DAY 2

Report times will be based on team assignments and will be communicated 7-10 days before the event via email. Each player will play one 2.5 hour simulated game coaches by college coaches in the dugouts. The game times are typically 9am, 12pm, 3pm and we have each team show up one hour before their game time for warm ups. We do our best to accommodate player's travel schedules.

ARRIVAL TIME & CHECK-IN

Players should plan to arrive for check-in between 8:00 and 8:30am on the first day of the event.  All players will be checked in and given an Under Armor numbered jersey to wear during the event.

INFORMATION FOR PITCHERS

Primary pitchers should be prepared to throw both days. The first day they will be throwing a 18-20 pitch bullpen in front of coaches. Pitcher-Only’s do not hit or play a position during the event. The second day they are throwing 20-25 pitches in a live game. If primary pitchers, for any reason, would rather throw only one inning (or not throw on a certain day), our staff will help assist in making the adjustment.

Venue

The Best in the US National West Showcase will be held at Chase Field (home of the Los Angeles Angels .) The address of the stadium is: 2000 E Gene Autry Way, Anaheim, CA 92806

Hotels

Los Angeles will provide some vibrant options for families to stay. From swanky downtown stays to affordable lodging, there is something for everyone!=We will have a list of partnered hotels shortly!

Airport

The best airport option for travelers is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This airport is one of the most popular in the country and features plenty of flights in and out each day!

John Wayne Airport in Orange County is a bit smaller but also has a ton of great options and a shorter drive to avoid the LA traffic!
